The Story Behind Wackaro®

The idea for the Wackaro® horse care device first came to Zoltán Varró in spring of 2019. While grooming his 30-year-old horse Dáma during heavy winter shedding, he imagined an easier way to care for her coat. This simple insight sparked the concept for a revolutionary new product. Soon after, the basic design, name and shape of the Wackaro® device were born.

A Lifelong Horse Lover

Zoltán's grandfather introduced him to the wonderful world of horses at an early age. This ignited a lifelong love and bond with these magnificent creatures. Zoltán went on to graduate as a livestock engineer, working closely with horses for years. He later completed additional equestrian training, remaining an active horse owner to this day.

The Need for Innovation

For centuries, grooming tools relied on manual labour, often using straw wads. While these have modernised over time, daily horse care and massages still demand intensive physical effort. And with horses now mainly bred for sport or leisure, musculoskeletal issues have become more prevalent.

Something had to change! Zoltán envisioned combining the power of technology with this nurturing care. This led him to create the Wackaro® electric massage and grooming device, revolutionising equine care by reducing strain for both the horse and handler.
